OSHA's new ETS targets COVID-19: How to begin implementation

While your facility likely has the ability to meet all the new requirements set out by OSHA’s emergency temporary standard (ETS), the first step to ensuring compliance is putting someone in charge of it. (For more, see the article above.)

“I would recommend that covered entities begin by reaffirming that there is an appointed COVID-19 administrator,” advises Marge McFarlane, PhD, MT(ASCP), CHSP, CHFM, CJCP, MEP, HEM, an OSHA expert and principal with Superior Performance Consultants, LLC. “I also recommend assigning a backup. They need to know they are responsible for implementing all of the requirements of the ETS.”
